DALAI LAMA IN BOSTON FOR THREE-DAY TRIP
CAMBRIDGE (AP) — The Dalai Lama will be in Cambridge and Boston as part of a three-day trip to Massachusetts to speak about religion, meditation, economics, peace and the environment.
The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader is scheduled to be in Cambridge on Sunday afternoon to give a talk titled “Beyond Religion: Ethics, Values and Wellbeing.” The event is at The Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He’ll then head to Boston for a concert featuring James Taylor and Boston Symphony Orchestra cellist Owen Young.
The Dalai Lama will return to MIT on Monday and Tuesday.
On Monday he’ll give a speech on ethics, economy, environment, peace, governance and diminishing resources. On Tuesday, he will teach stages of meditation and discuss Buddhism in the 21st Century.
