THE CENTER TO OPEN NEW SOUTH ASIAN HUB IN HYDERABAD
The Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values (The Center) at the has announced that it will open a new South Asian division in the city of Hyderabad, in Telangana State, India.
The Center has been actively engaged in the region for the past 4 years with its various transformative ethics and values based programs. Sessions and trainings in Hyderbad have been run through various prominent institutions such as the National Police Academy, IAS College, Indian School of Business and the Hyderabad University.
The Center President and CEO, The Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi, began efforts this year to establish a new international hub for the Center’s work in South Asia. The announcement to locate the center in Hyderabad comes after recent conversations with Telangana IT Minister, K.T. Rama Rao, and Tourism Minister, A. Chadulal, confirmed that Telangana State officials would be willing to collaborate on the establishment of a new hub.
Hyderabad’s rich cultural heritage, focus on infrastructural development, and flourishing tech center make it an ideal site for the Center to expand the reach of its programs in South Asia.
